A leading Multi-Academy Trust of primary & secondary schools based in the southern part of the East Midlands is seeking an interim Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant to start a role as soon as possible.

The role will involve producing management accounts and business partnering to a range of budget holders in schools across the region. The role also involves costing and cost analysis, interpreting complex financial data, journal postings and assisting with year-end close.

The trust are looking for an experience management accountant, with recent hands-on experience to cover a gap in the team. Experience from the higher education sector or facilities sector would be advantageous but not essential.

The role is paying £50,000 - £55,000 per annum and will be largely onsite at the schools across the region, and the Trust’s head office, with some hybrid/home-working.

Requirements:

-Ideally finalist or fully-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, however strong part-qualified candidates considered

-The ability to be flexible on work location within the region

-Previous experience producing management accounts

-Demonstrable experience business partnering to a range of stakeholders

-Strong understanding of budgeting

-The ability to interpret complex financial information’

-Hands-on experience, journal posting etc

-Experience with costing/cost-analysis desirable

The salary offered is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum and will likely be on a 3 month fixed term contract basis.
