Accounts Assistant
Location: North London (onsite role)
Contract Type: Contract – 12 month maternity cover
Hours: Part-time for 3 days per week (spread over 3, 4 or 5 days)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (FTE), dependent on experience

Our client, a newly formed progressive Jewish movement, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Finchley, London. Position Overview
The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial data across multiple entities, managing financial processes, and providing support for various financial activities.
Responsibilities
• Process sales and purchase ledgers for multiple entities
• Manage the financial processes, including application collation and communication
• Post authorised purchase invoices and produce creditors reports
• Reconcile debtors, process credit notes, and prepare aged debtors reports
• Administer grants, bursaries, and recharges across entities
• Reconcile cash books to bank statements and claim grants
• Analyse credit card expenses and reconcile cash boxes
Requirements
• Proven bookkeeping experience in a similar accounts role
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Proficient in Excel and basic reporting
• Excellent communication skills, handling sensitive issues with discretion
• Experience in the charity sector (desirable)
