Our client is a leading membership organisation representing over 67,000 professionals across the healthcare sector, founded over 130 years ago. They're seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to drive their procurement objectives and support their cost improvement programme in London.
Position Overview
You'll lead procurement delivery, managing supplier relationships, re-procurements and commercial reviews. You'll embed procurement into business planning, provide expert guidance to budget holders, and develop frameworks to enhance organisational capability. This role directly supports cost savings, operational efficiency and value for money across the organisation.
Responsibilities
• Lead procurement policy review with stakeholders and union representatives
• Manage re-procurement of goods and services with budget holders
• Establish centralised contract repository for improved oversight and reporting
• Provide expert advice and guidance to contract managers and budget holders
• Undertake commercial reviews of longstanding supplier relationships
• Develop training programmes and frameworks to enhance procurement capability
• Support complex, high-value procurements with legal and external consultation
• Promote sustainable procurement practices aligned with organisational values
• Develop multi-year re-procurement plan and measure procurement strategy impact
Requirements
• CIPS membership or working towards this qualification
• Proven experience managing relationships and influencing senior leadership teams
• Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings through effective sourcing and contract management
• Strong understanding of procurement legislation, public sector frameworks and governance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritise competing priorities
• Proficiency in MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of equality and diversity principles and commitment to working inclusively
• Responsibility for data accuracy and handling sensitive, confidential information
